the padding makes the short

A little-known fact. Most mid to high-end shorts use the exact same padding. That’s because there is one company that manufactures a very good range of material and sells it to many brands who incorporate it into their shorts. What’s wrong with this? Absolutely nothing! These pads are very good quality indeed and enhance the products that they sit in.

When these companies talk about how good their padding is – they may be right, but in reality, it’s exactly the same as their competitors. To be clear, a €200 pair of shorts may have the same padding as a €100 pair. When buying in volume it isn’t particularly expensive to buy “top of the line” padding.

Our shorts use proprietary padding. It is developed in-house by us. It's based on ideas and technologies we have researched, tried and tested. We specialize in biomechanics, millimeter perfect fit and adjustments. This is why the majority of pro-tour riders trust our padding. It's why certain padding manufacturers study us to see what they wish to come up with next. But rest assured, we are always one step ahead.

Smooth Vapor Men

The Vapor pad is part of our newest generation of pads, and it’s a big step forward in terms of breathability and damping. Main research question during development was: how can we improve the damping needed to cope with the stiffness of carbon bikes without adding more material to the pad? The result: Vapor Technology.

The pad materials consist of a friction reducing, breathable top layer. 2 middle layers provide breathability and moisture transport. The main layer is where the magic happens. We use Evapore, which is a 3D webbing with better damping qualities. When put under stress, Evapore changes into a rubberized state, so even when it’s compressed to the maximum, it still provides damping. Moreover, this material is hydrophobic, meaning it transports perspiration. The pad remains dry at all times.
